More trails have been established in the south end of the Illahee Preserve, giving even more options for exploring. Why go the same route every visit? Mix things up a bit. Take a different trail. Go left instead of right (or vice versa). Make your sojourn in the forest even more interesting. -gw

I had walked in the Illahee Preserve for nine months before I came across any evidence of a homeless camp, and this on a newly made trail linking two high-use trails. There used to be a lot of camps like this in the Illahee in the past, I understand, but visitors today know how much frequented (and safe) the Illahee Preserve is today. -gw

Here is a conversation with my walking partner about a recent yoga retreat offered by the yoga instructor who provides the noon-hour class on Mondays we both also attend. -gw
